So, fess up, who is taking the missus?

Cock rings and handcuffs at the ready. Does this endorse domestic violence?

Hairy isn't spot on but Nursey is. It's not about money at all. If he was a plumber with power and charisma (Note: he doesn't have to be good looking) then she wouldn't and she wouldn't.

Never mind 'Secretary' covering this years ago, 'The Story of O' covered it over 50 years ago - but that's not the issue. The books are rubbish and I wouldn't want to see the film based on that alone. It's the male reaction that is fascinating me.

Hairy is spot on. The fact that the sado is a billionaire makes it chick flick fantasy, because he's a billionaire.

If he was a plumber from Brixton she'd probably freak out and call the police.

Besides, didn't 'Secretary' cover this years ago.

All I know is that the books (which she hasn't read) and the film (which she hasn't seen) make my missus incandescently angry.

Its worse than when she starts talking about homeopathy!

It's not about a man's money, it's about power and charisma. Certainly if a man has those two in his armory, he is more likely to have a decent job/cash. But that isn't the draw. You are looking at it down the wrong end of the telescope. All we are thinking about it securing good alpha genes for our offspring.
